About Us

Paperback Prints is an approved distributor of signed, limited edition giclée prints, greetings cards and books by the artist Colin Carruthers

What is a Giclée Print?:   A giclée print is a reproduction of an original oil, acrylic or watercolour painting and is created using professional, multi-colour ink-jet printers. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival pigment inks onto fine art paper.

The Printmaker:  Paperback prints uses Redcliffe Imaging to reproduce Colin’s giclée prints.  Redcliffe Imaging offers one of the highest degrees of accuracy and richness of colour available in any of the modern day reproduction techniques. The  print quality rivals traditional silver-halide and gelatin printing processes. Albrecht Dürer  210g paper is used for each print –  sourced from Hahnemühle – a German paper mill that has been producing mould made artist papers for over 425 years. Their range of products for fine art printing is an award winning collection of genuine artist papers in a variety of surfaces, base weights and structures.  The fine watercolour surface and the warm white tone of Albrecht Dürer impart both a classical and modern feel to art reproductions and is ideally suited to the reproduction of oil and acrylic originals.

Authentication:    Redcliffe Imaging is a Fine Art Trade Guild Accredited Printmaker.  The Guild sets standards for print publishing in order to protect the interests of the public and to maintain confidence in the publishing of Fine Art.  Each print will be numbered and signed by the artist, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity bearing the Guild logo, and signed by the atist and the printmaker.
